Academic Search Elite User Guide

The multi-disciplinary database, Academic Search, provides abstracts and indexing for over 3,400 journals covering the social sciences, humanities, general science, education, and more general categories. Indexing coverage of journals starts with 1984; full text of the articles is available for more than 2,000 journals. Full text coverage varies in dates, generally starting with 1990, with about 100 titles beginning full text with 1985. Academic Search includes nearly 1,500 peer-reviewed journals, which are publications that include only articles that have been reviewed by experts in the field of study covered by the journal.
