DISSERTATIONS AND THESES {DISSERTATION ABSTRACTS} USER GUIDE

Dissertations & Theses: A & I, the Proquest online version of UMI's Dissertation Abstracts (DA) indexes doctoral dissertations from most accredited U.S. universities; selected masters theses and some foreign dissertations are also included. The listing of U.S. doctoral dissertations started in 1861, masters theses in 1962, and foreign dissertations in 1976; coverage from individual institutions varies and inclusion in DA is based on institutional requirements. The abstracts available will provide basic content information and key words or concepts for a further search. Doctoral dissertations done at UWM since 1997 are available full text.
