Limited to an edition of 175 copies signed by the artist Leonard Baskin, proprietor of the Gehenna Press. This type display book is designed to showcase the beauty of Hermann Zapf's Civilité type font. The types were cast by Harold Berliner of Nevada City, California. Arthur Larson of Hadley, Massachusetts, composed and printed the book on Magnani, an Italian mould-made paper. The book was hand-bound by Claudia Cohen of Easthampton, Massachusetts, in paste paper on linen over boards with a leather spine label.

This is one of four Gehenna Press imprints acquired by Special Collections since 1994. The work of the Gehenna Press was featured in the 1995 UWM Library exhibit The Contemporary Fine Press.
