COLOPHON: Folio of Birds is the twelfth limited book-folio published by the Red Door Studio, Shorewood,
Wisconsin. The woodcuts are cut in pine planks and printed on a Gordon Platen Press. Paper is Basingwerk
Parchment White, Heavy Weight. Typeface is Caslon Oldstyle and handset. The title is a modified alphabet
from Calligraphic Alphabets by Arthur Baker, Dover Publications, Inc., New York and cut in wood. Cover
designed and constructed by the artist in Belgian linen over Davey board. Edition number 7 out of 30.

"The miniature woodcuts for the edition came about as I was doing miniature water colors for an exhibition of miniature paintings in the Bradly Galleries. All of my limited editions projects relate to my interest in the subjects and were not commissioned as a commercial venture."
