last dated book from this press, from which only about twenty editions were
issued. It is hand illuminated throughout in bold red lettering.
 ome scholars believe
this printer may be identified as "Magister Paulus" of the Diocese of
Mainz, who, with his brother "Magister Georgius" and with the aid of Columbinus
of Verona, produced the Mantua "Dante" of 1472, and probably some other
books attributed to printer Pietro Micheli.
