February 1, 2000 - April 14, 2000
This exhibit was located in the Special Collections Reading Room (fourth floor).
|
Part of Milwaukee's International Arts Festival, which this year focused on Jewish culture, this exhibit offered examples of the broad research potentials in Jewish history and culture found throughout the Golda Meir Library, including Special Collections, the Milwaukee Urban Archives, the American Geographical Society Collection, the Music and Sound Recordings Collection, the Curriculum Collection, and the Media Services Collection. |
| Materials on display includes rare
maps, illuminated manuscript facsimiles, original printed sources, photographs, manuscript
and archival materials, musical scores and recordings, children's books and K-12 teaching
materials, and videotapes. The image above is a carpet page from the Kennicott Bible. | |
