UWM students and employees may can now connect to the Internet via a laptop that supports wireless network connections. Access points are currently active in the first floor, East Wing, of the library. See the PROWLnet support page for more information.

Fall Semester Hours Available

The Golda Meir Library building will begin new hours on Thursday, September 2. The UWM Libraries hours page lists the current interim building hours as well as the fall semester hours for individual departments, collections, and units within the building.

The Library Workshops page has been updated to show the library tours and hands-on workshops available in September. All workshops are free and open to all. No registration or sign-up is required.

A series of library research workshops will be held Saturdays this fall. The sessions will focus on how to do research in an academic library using both print and electronic resources. "Find It!" at the Libraries

You may have noticed a new button showing up in database search results. Find It! is a new service that offers links between many library databases and electronic journals. Use this button to search for full-text copies of your citations. More information.

UWM Resource CD Available

Did you know that UWM provides free dial-up Internet access to its students, staff, and faculty? Free copies of the 2004/2005 UWM Resource CD are now available at the Reserve Desk (1st Floor, East Wing). The CD includes software to connect to a new modem pool, as well as a host of other productivity tools.

It's The End Of ERIC (As We Know It)

Online access to ERIC Documents is temporarily unavailable. Web access will resume on September 1st. In the meantime, the Curriculum Library (2nd floor, East Wing) holds a complete collection of documents on microfiche. More information.
