Friends Offer 6,000 Books At Used Book Sale
The Friends of the Golda Meir Library will hold their spring used book sale Monday, April 3 through Wednesday, April 5 in the fourth floor Conference Center of the Golda Meir Library. Over 6,000 works in a wide variety of genres will be on sale. A special collection of used wall maps will also be available. Proceeds benefit the UWM Libraries.Monday, March 20, 2006

New BadgerCat catalog
BadgerCat, the Wisconsin view of WorldCat, is now available. Take a look by clicking on WorldCat on the UWM Libraries home page. There will be two choices in the databases menu: WorldCat will search libraries worldwide and BadgerCat will search within Wisconsin libraries. After selecting BadgerCat, click on the "Limit to:" dropdown menu to choose from various subsets of Wisconsin libraries. Look for enhancements to BadgerCat in the near future. Maps and America Lecture Today
Dr. Joel L. Morrison, distinguished cartographer and geographer, and former President of the International Cartographic Association, will speak in the AGS Library on Wednesday, March 8 at 6 pm. Dr. Morrison will describe how map depictions of North America have changed over the past five centuries. An exhibit in the AGS Library of rare and specialized maps will accompany the lecture.
