Used Book Sale October 12-14

The Friends of the Golda Meir Library Used Book Sale will be held in the fourth floor on October 12-14. More information is available on the events page.

Cash Prizes and Free Food in the upcoming Digital Literacy Contest

On Tuesday, October 6 at 5:30 PM, the library will host a digital literacy contest for students. More information.

UMW Libraries E-Reserves Down

Some sections of the UWM.edu web site are currently experiencing technical difficulties. This includes access to E-Reserve documents and music scores associated with Audio E-Reserve lists. UITS hopes to have the problem resolved soon. Update: service has been restored.

Come Take a Tour of the Library

Several Library Tours will be offered in September. All tours are free and open to all. No registration or sign-up is required. A Virtual Tour of the UWM Libraries (recently updated to include the Daniel M. Soref Learning Commons) is also available at anytime.

Fall Semester Hours Begin

The Golda Meir Library building begins new hours today. The UWM Libraries hours page lists the current building hours and the fall semester hours for individual departments, collections, and units within the building.

Game Night @ the Libraries Every Thursday

Play the Nintendo Wii, board games and online games in the new Daniel M. Soref Learning Commons! Game Nights are every Thursday this fall, from 8 to 11 p.m., with the first Game Night on Thursday, September 3. Free popcorn and soda will be provided.

We don't usually have what's available in the bookstore. The help page Does the library have books for UWM courses? has more detailed information, including links for looking up your course books and comparing prices online.

New PantherCat Interface Available

The library catalog will be upgraded later this year. A sneak preview of the new site is available, as well as more information about the upgrade.
