"Every student who steps on our campus should believe that they can succeed here, and we must guarantee that they have access to all the tools they need to succeed."

Carlos Santiago,
UW-Milwaukee, Chancellor

The Life Impact Program has been established to assist low-income parents in their efforts to attain a higher education. The program is funded through a generous donation from the Jane Bradley Pettit Foundation and provides participants with a $5,000 scholarship as well as academic, professional and personal support. Program recipients have access to a Life Coach who serves as a first point of contact for all concerns. The Life Coach will follow the students' progress, assess their needs and provide them any resources, workshops and/or referrals to other on-campus or community programs.

"Without the Life Impact support I would be unable to be where I am today. It has been an invaluable support in my goals to succeed in life. I am forever grateful for the opportunity that has been given to me but even more to the opportunity that has been given to my son."/ -- Life Impact Program Participant
