Living Learning Communities (LLCs)
As a member of a Living Learning Community at the University
of Wisconsin—Milwaukee, you get to be a part of a "community
within a community" by living in the residence halls among
students with similar interests There are multiple Living Learning Communities (LLCs) at Cambridge Commons, RiverView and
Sandburg Residence Halls.
About LLCs
Each LLC has 20-72 students who live on the same floor and take at least one class together. This environment can make it easier to form connections with your classmates outside of the classroom. In addition to the course(s) associated with your LLC, you will take other courses that you will select yourself. Your membership in the LLC lasts two semesters — both the Fall and Spring semester of your freshman year.
Have you already filled out your housing contract for next year and want to join an LLC?
If you would like to join an LLC, please contact Keri Duce at klduce@uwm.edu with your name, student ID number and LLC of interest. Students will be added to LLCs as space is available. Make sure you have completed your housing contract through your myHousing account before you make this request.
