In their own words:

Heather Ford, ASL LLC Advisor:

ASL LLC Group Photo

“I enjoy providing a safe transitional environment for college students to learn ASL, feel connected to the UWM campus, and to make lifelong friends.”

Kelsey Ferris, LLC member:

“I joined the ASL LLC so I would have something in common with people I lived with and so I would know people in my ASL classes. It's great being in the ASL LLC because you don’t have to wait until you’re a junior or senior to get into your major. Here you live your major every day and you always have someone to turn to. We’ve all become really close and it’s because of our commonalities.”

Kelly Keuper, ASL LLC, RA 2010-2011:

“I enjoy seeing how close all of the residents have become! You can make lifelong friends in the LLC, friends that you share a special bond with through ASL! You come as strangers and turn into family.”
