Purpose:

To build a community of engineering and computer science students for friendship, support, and engagement in inspiring activities that bring students' ideas and interests ALIVE.

  • Competing with others while designing, building and programming a robot that mimics the natural movements of an animal.
  • Working as part of a team to create a short video program about robotics, engineering and computing in a pro-level lab.
  • Visiting local industry and having the opportunity to learn more about companies, what they do, and how they make their products.

“Making the robots at Discovery World was super fun. It took me out of my comfort zone and I have never worked with robots before. Very exciting seeing all the different things that went into designing and building our robots.”

"The best part of Discovery World and this LLC is getting to know all these new people. It's also very fun exploring Milwaukee, getting off campus, and building miniature robots!"

robo2Required Courses:

Innovation House Students take math, engineering and computer science courses together, with the specific 3-credit courses determined by the students' majors. Innovation House provides tutoring, mentoring and study groups that support those courses.
