All University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee printed and digital materials must use an authorized version of the logo. When it isn't possible to use the logo, you should include a text identifier: University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. An "en" dash is used between the words Wisconsin and Milwaukee.
- The logo should be displayed in a prominent location but can be a secondary element.
- A logo does not have to be large. Rather, by leaving a generous amount of space around a smaller logo, you are ensuring legibility and creating visual hierarchy.
- Use only authorized digital artwork of the logo.
- Never incorporate the logo into illustrations or other logos.
- When a logo is reduced or enlarged, the proportion of all the elements in the logo must remain the same.
- Check for color accuracy on your materials. Make sure that the logo is legible.
- The logo can appear in two colors: PMS 1235C signal yellow on coated paper or PMS 116U signal yellow on uncoated paper, and black. A two color logo should not be used in a black only application.
- The logo may appear in four process colors (C0, M25, Y100, K0).
- A black or one color application of the logo is permitted.
- The reversed logo should only be used on a dark background.
