Master Plan Draft Feedback
To Campus and Community Members:
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) is in the fourth and final phase of the campus Master Plan process. For the past 18 months, there has been a broad range of assessments about the physical development of UWM on its current east side location and at other opportunity sites. Hundreds of pages of data have been collected from across the campus community and other constituencies interested in UWM’s future. In this final phase, there is an additional opportunity to comment about the proposed draft final plan.
As a reminder, the master plan offers a big picture vision that will give the campus a “tool kit” to help the University develop strategies for programmatic space (e.g., research, instruction, academic support, student life) and academic neighborhoods over the next 20 years.
It is not the intent or purpose of the plan to precisely design buildings or determine programs within specific buildings. The master planning tool kit will, however, inform campus planning as the University responds to current and future needs and opportunities.
Thank you for taking the time to provide your input on this important project.
