Since BMCW and partner agency staff have Bachelor's degrees at the very least, why do they need additional training?
No one, no matter how well prepared by formal education, comes into a job with all the knowledge and skill they will ever need. Professional competence is gained and deepened over the course of one's entire professional career.
The BMCW and its partner agencies are committed to making sure that staff are continually learning and developing greater levels of professional competence. Ongoing training is one of the mechanisms by which professional skills are learned, deepened and honed. As a result, BMCW and partner agency staff, along with staff in child welfare throughout Wisconsin, are directed to training throughout their employment.

For Trainers
You submit a draft description of the new activity you wish to add. Your draft should include what you plan to do, why, how it works, what equipment is needed, and how you will debrief the participants.
The Training Manager will review your description. If it is approved, you may try the new activity. Because of the review time needed, please submit descriptions at least three weeks before the date you'd like to use the new activity.
