Pre-service (PACE)
The pre-placement PACE Curriculum provides prospective foster parents the skills and knowledge essential to providing
a short-term, stable and nurturing environment for children. The PACE Curriculum is broken down into 12 three-hour
training modules that must be taken in sequence
prior to caring for a child.
In-Service Training
In-service trainings are attended after a child had already been placed in the home to provide more specialized development of
knowledge and skills in a broad range of topics. A minimum of
10 hours per year must be completed
by all licensed foster/adoptive parents.
