About the Graduate Certificate in Mediation and Negotiation Program
Using an interdisciplinary approach, the Graduate Certificate in Mediation and Negotiation offers a basic knowledge of mediation and negotiation between individuals and across organizations, allows some specialization in further course work, and is integrated with a final course involving either fieldwork or a research paper written under the direction of an expert in the area.
To earn a certificate, the following requirements must be met:
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA in the program.
- Complete 12 credits from the courses listed under curriculum including 9 credits of course work and 3 credits of field work or research, within 5 years.
- Submit a copy of the internship/research paper to the Mediation Center upon completion of the course work.
- Keep the Mediation Center up-to-date on your progress toward the certificate.
