Guide to the Application Process
Application Deadline
The MHRLR Program has a rolling admissions policy and accepts applications for the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters.
The recommended application deadline for domestic applicants is two months prior to the start of the semester (i.e. June 30th for Fall admission).
The recommended application deadline for international applicants is four months prior to the start of the semester (i.e. April 30th for Fall admission).

Transcripts |
Request that the transcripts for all colleges, universities (except UWM), technical schools, and diploma programs you have attended be directly sent to the graduate school. The mailing address is: UWM Graduate SchoolP.O. Box 340 Milwaukee, WI 53201-0413 |

Statement of Purpose |
An essential part of your application to the graduate school, this is used to determine the appropriateness of your educational and professional goals and serves as an example of your ability to express yourself in writing. In the statement:

Application Fee |
A $56 base application fee is required of all applicants. An additional $40 evaluation fee is required for applicants with college-level work from non-U.S. colleges. |

Test Requirements |
Either the GRE or the GMAT exam is required. Please have your test scores sent directly to the MHRLR program. The MHRLR program codes are:
If you have taken the GRE or GMAT within the last 5 years, you may use these scores. however, the scores must be sent, by the testing agency, directly to the MHRLR program. Information regarding the GRE and GMAT exams can be found at: http://www.gre.com and http://www.mba.com/mba |

Letters of Recommendation |
Two letters of recommendation are required from people who know your ability to perform graduate level work and/or your commitment to and interest in human resource management and labor relations. The downloadable letter of recommendation form and/or a formal letter is acceptable. Please have your letter writers send their recommendations directly to the MHRLR program. |

Prerequisite Courses |
The MHRLR Program has two prerequisite courses Principles of Microeconomics and Introductory Statistics All students in the program are required to have passed both courses with a grade of B- (B minus) or better, either prior to admission or within three semesters of active enrollment. |

International Students - English Language Requirements |
If you did not receive your undergraduate degree from an institution where English is the primary method of instruction we require TOEFL scores. The minimum score requirement for admission is a score equivalent to the internet based TOEFL test score of 80 or above with section scores of at least 20 on all four sections (Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing). |
