2011 Melvin Lurie Award Ceremony

On September 26, 2011, the 24th annual Melvin Lurie Award Ceremony was held at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). Two prizes were given to honor the founder of the Masters in Industrial and Labor Relations (now MHRLR) program, the late Professor Melvin Lurie of the UWM Economics Department;

Past Student Lurie Winners

Rodney Swain, Dean of the College of Letters & Science, and Timothy L. Smunt, Dean of the Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business, awarded the prizes.

Margo Meverden received the Melvin Lurie Memorial Prize. The prize is given to an outstanding student or recent alumnus of the Masters in Human Resources and Labor Relations (MHRLR) Program.

Moira Kelly of Kelly Consulting LLC received the 14th Melvin Lurie Labor-Management Cooperation prize.
