2012 Melvin Lurie Award Ceremony
On October 8, 2012, the 25th annual Melvin Lurie Award Ceremony was held at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). Two prizes were given to honor the founder of the Masters in Industrial and Labor Relations (now MHRLR) program, the late Professor Melvin Lurie of the UWM Economics Department;

- 25th Annual Melvin Lurie Memorial Prize
- 15th Annual Lurie Labor-Management Cooperation Prize
Rodney Swain, Dean of the College of Letters & Science, and Timothy L. Smunt, Dean of the Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business, awarded the prizes.
Daniel Hereth received the Melvin Lurie Memorial Prize. The prize is given to an outstanding student or recent alumnus of the Masters in Human Resources and Labor Relations (MHRLR) Program.
Chrysler National Parts Distribution Center and the United Auto Workers Union Local 75 received the 15th Melvin Lurie Labor-Management Cooperation prize.
