The Consortium for Economic Opportunity: Forging Partnerships for Prosperity
Through the Consortium, UWM is building on its partnerships with economic development agencies, community organizations and small businesses to help spur business and job growth in metropolitan Milwaukee, particularly in the city's low income neighborhoods. The Consortium works on economic development projects with community organizations, local governments, economic development agencies and foundations and also conducts action-oriented research on economic opportunity. One of its many notable activities is an entrepreneurial training program designed to help emerging and established entrepreneurs gain critical business skills.
