CANCELLED-Oct. 21: Data Center Maintenance

Maintenance has been cancelled. Bug fix was applied on Monday, Oct. 15 around 3 p.m. This should alleviate the network instability of the past 10 days which was caused by this bug in the vendor-supplied software.

Original announcement:
On Sunday, Oct. 21 between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m., there will be maintenance done in the Data Center. At the beginning of this maintenance window around 3 a.m., there COULD be outages of up to 15 minutes affecting University IT services.

Services that might be affected include:
  • Internet connectivity (wired and wireless PROWLnet and UWM WiFi) to and from UWM buildings
  • Access to enterprise IT services including pantherLINK, pantherFILE, PAWS, D2L, and other services requiring ePantherID and password access
If you are using an IT service during this timeframe, you may be disconnected without warning. Wait 15 minutes and try again.

This maintenance is being done as part of the optimization of the Data Center following the Data Center upgrade and reconfiguration that took place this past summer and will further improve network stability.
