Wed., Nov. 14, 2012
10-11 a.m.; Union 191

File and data storage is a critical IT service and is used on a daily basis for research, teaching, learning and administrative work.

Join Interim CIO Jacques du Plessis to discuss what your needs are today and for the future. Topics for discussion include:
  • Use (teaching, learning, research, administrative)
  • Types of file services (in-house, open source, vendor, cloud)
  • Access (private, need for sharing)
  • Data (Proprietary, confidential, private, public)
In order to help inform the discussion, there is an online survey faculty and staff are encouraged to complete, even if they are unable to attend the session.

Reservations are not needed. Bring your ideas and share them with your colleagues and UITS staff.
