Dec. 13-28: Tech Timeout
The end-of-fall semester Tech Timeout period begins Thurs., Dec. 13 at 12:01 a.m. and ends Fri., Dec. 28 at 11:59 p.m.
Tech Timeout is a timeframe identified within an academic semester during which University Information Technology Services (UITS) will not make changes that affect production-level services, functions or activities. These services include PAWS, pantherLINK, pantherFILE, the UWM website, general access Campus Computer Labs, UWM WiFi and PROWLnet wireless services, and the underlying infrastructure supporting these services. Exceptions to the policy include situations that require maintaining the stability or security of services. The goal is to minimize the risk of IT service interruptions during critical periods.
