15th Annual Urban Initiatives Conference, May 29

Registration is now open.

The 15th Annual Urban Initiatives Conference, Restorative Practices: Repairing Harm and Building Communities, will be held Wednesday, May 29 at the Italian Community Center in Milwaukee.

Restorative practices are efforts that build, maintain, and restore communities around inclusive networks of right relationships. They bring people together when relationships are damaged by the specific actions of one or more people. National experts Carl Stauffer and Kay Pranis will join local voices Arno Michaelis, Pardeep Kaleka and others to inform individuals about the principles, methods, evidence, and applications of restorative practices toward building a better community through a day of discussions and workshops.

Early bird registration ends May 1, so reserve your space now to save! Those registering with credit cards should do so online. Those wishing to pay via check should print this form (PDF download) and mail it according to the instructions on the form.

The Annual Urban Initiatives Conference is hosted by the Center for Urban Initiatives and Research at UWM. More information and real time updates are available at the conference homepage.
