Dec. 5, A Bold Dream: Creating a World That Works for Everyone
A professional development workshop led by Dr. Shakti Butler
Wednesday, December 5th, 9-10:30am
Free and open to all faculty and staff
In the United States, race is a divisive issue. Racial inequities play out in ways that are systemically complex and are linked to both our internal and external relationships. These complex and relational behaviors operate within our interpersonal, institutional and structural behaviors. Through multi-media and dialogue, Shakti Butler will guide participants to explore these relationships, thus considering new questions that can illuminate pathways towards healing, equity and a more sustainable future.
Dr. Butler is an inspirational facilitator, trainer and lecturer who invites her audience to grapple with both the intellectual and emotional complexities of race through interactive, transformative dialogue. Her work as a creative and visionary bridge builder has challenged and inspired learning for over two decades.
