New Voicemail Service Coming to UWM
The Wisconsin Department of Administration (DOA) has signed a new contract for voicemail service that requires a migration of accounts from the current voicemail system to a new platform the weekend of January 25-27. This change will affect both state-owned individual and special application voicemail accounts. Individuals utilizing state-owned accounts are those who dial 414-227-5140 to access their voicemail.
It is important to note that after the conversion, any voicemail or greeting messages stored on the previous system will soon be erased. Access numbers for voicemail will remain the same.
What To Expect/How to Prepare
In advance of the conversion, individuals are strongly encouraged to set up their voicemail and greeting message on the new system prior to Jan. 25.
For individual voicemail accounts, log into the new system using the temporary access number (414-220-6880) and passcode (3622012) and follow the prompts to set up your account. Further instructions are available online on the Wisconsin Department of Administration (DOA) website.
For special application voicemail accounts, dial 414-220-6006 and enter the temporary passcode 3622012. From there, follow the prompts to set up your account. Further instructions are also available online on the Wisconsin Department of Administration (DOA) website.
Additionally, state-owned voicemail accounts will receive voicemail messages delivered to their account on Jan. 8, 15 and 25 providing instructions and reminding them of the upcoming change.
An individual's new account and greeting will become active on Monday, Jan. 28. After the conversion, messages stored on the old system can be temporarily accessed by calling 414-220-6880. All messages and access to the previous system will be discontinued after Fri., February 8.
