Aug. 16: Hot Technology Topics Presentations

On Friday, Aug. 16, there will be two presentations about hot technology topics.

Phil Shelley, CTO of Sears, will be doing two presentations about big data. From 9-10 a.m. there will be an open meeting in Zelazo 250 and following from 10-11 a.m. will be a more technology-detailed how-to meeting in Zelazo 171.

Roy G. Taylor, director of Enterprise Architecture at Kohls, will be doing a presentation from 3-4 p.m. in Union 280. The title of his presentation is "Designing the Enterprise Architecture." Roy has had exposure to many types of businesses, as a former vice president at Wells Fargo and working at Whirlpool Corporation. Roy will give attendees an inside perspective of how he's designed enterprise architecture to meet the unique needs of the organization.

These meetings are being planned jointly by the Provost's Office and University Information Technology Services (UITS).
