| The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's basketball team continues its 2009-10 exhibition season by hosting UW-Parkside Saturday night at the U.S. Cellular Arena. Milwaukee hung on to beat Cardinal Stritch, 74-72, in its exhibition opener Wednesday. The Panthers played without senior guards Tone Boyle and Ricky Franklin but got 20 points from James Eayrs in holding a distinct inside advantage. Now, the Panthers turn their attention to the Rangers, who beat UWM in 2006 but have since lost exhibition contests to Milwaukee in both 2007 and 2008. Saturday's game tips off at 7 p.m. |

| Junior Ashley Imperiale scored 19 points and junior Lindsay Laur had a double-double of 11 points and 14 boards to lead the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's basketball team to a 66-57 win over UW-Stevens Point in an exhibition contest Thursday evening at the Klotsche Center. The Panthers trailed by one as late as 8:43 in the second half, but began pulling away and built a 10-point advantage in the final minute. They finish the exhibition season 1-1 after a buzzer-beater loss to UW-Parkside last Sunday. |

| M. Soccer. Badgers Escape With 1-0 Victory Over UWM In Regular Season Finale |
| Pablo Delgado scored in the 89th minute to send the University of Wisconsin home a winner, claiming a 1-0 victory over the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's soccer team Thursday evening at Engelmann Field. The Badgers (7-8-2), who came in ranked No. 33 in the RPI index and in the mix for the Big Ten title this campaign, ended the Panthers (3-12-2) regular season schedule with their ninth one-goal defeat of the year. Freshman goalkeeper John Shakon played brilliantly in goal, making six saves - including several high-quality stops - but in the end it was Delgado's strike that ended it late in regulation. |

| W. Volleyball. Felsing Earns Academic All-Region Honors |
| Lauren Felsing of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee volleyball team has earned CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V First Team honors. Felsing carries a 3.97 grade-point average in marketing while leading the Horizon League in digs during league contests. The senior libero, who was a CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Second Team Academic All-American a season ago, is again eligible for Academic All-America honors. That will be voted upon in the next several weeks. This marks the fifth-straight year a UWM player has earned academic-all region honors. Lauren's sister, Leanne Felsing, claimed honors in 2007 while Cheryl Hegemann captured academic all-region recognition in both 2005 and 2006. Now, the younger Felsing has earned the honor for two-straight seasons. |

| James Eayrs scored 20 points and added 10 rebounds as an injury-depleted University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's basketball team held on for a 74-72 win over Cardinal Stritch Wednesday night at the U.S. Cellular Arena. The Panthers played without a pair of senior guards, as Tone Boyle and Ricky Franklin were both sidelined by injury while Franklin is also completing the final steps academically in gaining another year of eligibility. But, Milwaukee used strong play on the interior to escape. Jason Averkamp added 11 points and the Panthers scored 21 points from the foul line. Juniors Deonte Roberts and Jerard Ajami earned starts in the backcourt and combined for 15 points and 12 rebounds, while freshman Patrick Souter added five points in 21 minutes and Lonnie Boga contributed seven points and five boards in 20 minutes. |
