Odyssey Under the Stars showcases one of the Greek’s most epic tales, the Odyssey. This special show hosted by the UWM Manfred-Olson Planetarium will be held on January 13, 14, 20, and 21. Friday shows will be at 7 p.m.; Saturday’s show times will be 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
This unique program celebrates a collaboration between Robin Mello of the UWM Theater Department and Jean Creighton, director of the UWM Planetarium. Audiences will enjoy this captivating look at the classic legend as the Odyssey’s characters are connected to the beautiful night sky. During Odyssey Under the Stars rich narratives, music, and poetry will tie seamlessly to scientific presentation. This interactive performance will entertain visitors of all ages.
A 10-minute Q&A session will follow the show. Please note the UWM Planetarium is wheelchair accessible and these shows are not recommended for children under the age of five. The planetarium is open to the public and general admission is $2.
