The UWM College of Nursing is a vibrant, innovative environment for teaching, research, practice and service to the community and the profession. Proud to offer our students the highest degree of academic rigor, College of Nursing faculty continue to create innovative classroom environments and provide the latest technological teaching tools.
The College of Nursing research portfolio grows annually; currently the college holds the 34th position of nursing colleges receiving NIH funding. We are also proud of our funded collaborations with corporate sponsors that allow us to be on the cutting edge of translational research in practice settings.
Not only does the College of Nursing offer opportunity for student and faculty to discover new knowledge through research, faculty and staff embrace the practice and engage the community in developing solutions to improve health for all. Our community nursing centers focus on addressing the health needs of the at-risk populations of Milwaukee and allow our students and clinical staff to engage with community members to establish heath care solutions that fit their needs.
