Appointment Type:
Nine-month, Full time, Probationary Instructional Academic Staff (PIAS) appointment. This Probationary appointment has the potential to lead to Indefinite Status, similar to tenure, whereas our clinical teaching positions do not.
Starting Date:
August 19, 2013 (negotiable)
Duties:
Teach courses in the College of Nursing and carry out scholarly activities and community service in accordance with the mission of the College of Nursing and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. These positions, as opposed to Tenured/Tenure Track faculty positions, emphasize teaching, administrative leadership and service within the College of Nursing. Opportunity for scholarship activity is provided, but is not the primary focus of this role.
Required Qualifications: Doctorate in Nursing or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher in Nursing
Licensed as RN in Wisconsin or eligible to become licensed in Wisconsin
Teaching experience/expertise and/or clinical practice in any of the following areas:
- Acute Care/Chronic Disease Management
- Family Nurse Practitioner
- Gerontology
- Health Systems
- Physiology
- Self-Management
- Teaching/Learning
Salary: Negotiable, depending on qualifications and experience
