Kristin Radloff, an undergraduate honors nursing student, won third place in the UWM Women's
Studies Annual Paper contest for her paper, "The Truth behind Anorexia Nervosa in Women."
She won the award in the graduate category since the paper she wrote was from a summer graduate course, Issues in Women's Health and Development.
"This award means a lot to me, both as a undergrad nursing student and as an honors student, because I've proven to myself that the seemingly impossible is actually possible. I can contribute meaningful ideas as an undergrad in a graduate environment. My hard work does make a difference. Others can do this too if they put in the time and effort, but with passion."
