On April 21, 2011, College of Nursing Foundations of Clinical Practice I (FCP-I) students accepted the award for Volunteer Organization of the Year from the Boys and Girls Club. The group of student accepted the award on the behalf of the College of Nursing. The group of FCP-I students are currently volunteering at the Daniels-Mardak Branch, on the city’s north side.
“Many times nursing can be a thankless endeavor…it is a refreshing feeling to be appreciated,” said Clinical Instructor, Rachel Henrichs, MSN, RN.
