Faculty, staff, and students competed in triathlon

CON faculty, staff, and students compete in triathlonTwenty-six colleagues from the UWM College of Nursing competed in this summer’s Danskin Triathlon in Pleasant Prairie,

Wis. The triathlon was one in a series conducted across the country, billed as the largest and longest-running multi-sports series in the world. The event includes a .75-kilometer swim, a 20-kilometer bike ride and a 5-kilometer run.

Open to all women over the age of 14, the triathlon raises money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. “It’s a great event that raises money for breast cancer research and helps women get active,” says Sarah Morgan, assistant professor of nursing and one of the competitors.
