UW System Board of Regents approves new doctoral program leading to the Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree

The UW-System Board of Regents approved a new doctoral program leading to the Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Friday, Dec. 5.  The Doctor of Nursing Practice at UW-Milwaukee provides clinical doctoral nursing education for advanced nursing practice.  The program leads to doctoral level preparation for advanced practice, preparing graduates as either Clinical Nurse Specialists, Family Nurse Practitioners, or community/nursing system leaders.             To learn more, come to the open house on January 15th, 2009 or on March 7th, 2009 or talk with Dr. Karen Morin, Director of Graduate Programs  [414.229.5503, morin@uwm.edu] or  Robin Jens, Graduate Student Advisor [414.229.2494, rjens@uwm.edu]
