Teaching

Dr. Mkandawire-Valhmu has taught Foundations of clinical practice at the undergraduate level. She has also supervised graduate students undertaking clinical projects in community health nursing both in the United States and in Malawi. In 2008, with the help of another faculty member, she took 22 students to Malawi for a period of two weeks to study community health nursing in rural and urban Central and Southern Malawi.
