Dr. Stevens is a Professor in the College of Nursing at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Center Scientist at the Center for Urban Population Health, a partnership between University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Aurora Health Care. She is also an Affiliated Investigator at the Center for AIDS Intervention Research, Medical College of Wisconsin, a National Institute of Mental Health-funded Center of Excellence. Dr. Stevens is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing. She has done extensive research in the area of HIV/AIDS and is expert in qualitative research methods and community based participatory research. She has over 80 publications in scientific journals.
