Give onlineMake an online gift now, or email Nicole Blemberg at blembern@uwm.edu.

Check or money order

Send a check or money order payable to the "UWM Foundation” with a note or memo indicating the College of Nursing fund you wish to support to:

Nicole Blemberg
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Cunningham Hall, Room 615
PO Box 413
Milwaukee, WI 53201-0413

By phone

Make a gift or pledge over the phone by calling Nicole Blemberg at 414-229-5617. Gifts by phone are also often made via the University’s annual Telefund. You may be among the thousands of people who are invited to make annual gifts to the College of Nursing by phone. When our students call, we hope you’ll speak with them and consider their request.

PledgeDonors interested in making a major contribution to the College of Nursing often find that doing so via a multi-year commitment is often more financially feasible for them than making the gift all at once. Major gift pledges can be payable over and up to 5 years, and may endow or help fund a current need in the College. They may also lead to naming opportunities, which honor or memorialize a person (or persons) of your choosing.

Matching GiftsYou can double or triple your gift to the College if you or your spouse works for one of over a thousand companies with a matching gift program. Check to see if you work for a company that will match your gift by clicking on our company search.

Memorials & HonorariumsGifts in memory or in honor of a relative or friend are a generous and thoughtful way to recognize a person's life and accomplishments. When an honorary or memorial gift is made, the UWM Foundation will notify the honoree or next of kin, and the gift is administered as specified.

Appreciated SecuritiesTransferring stocks, bonds, treasuries, and mutual funds, held long term, to the UWM Foundation for the College of Nursing allows you to make a gift and receive a charitable deduction equal to the full market value of the securities. You pay no capital gains tax on your appreciated gift.

Real Estate and Personal Property
Real Estate and other personal property such as art and jewelry can be used to make a gift to the College. Real estate gifts entitle you to the same tax benefits as cash or securities, provided the real estate has been owned more than one year and there are no liens on the property. Personal property gifts owned for more than one year can be deducted at the asset's current market value. The UWM Foundation reviews each potential gift of real estate and personal property before accepting the gift.

Planned Gift
Making a planned gift to the College of Nursing enables you to realize your long-term charitable goals and make a significant impact on the university without making a current gift of cash or securities. A bequest in your will, annuities, trusts, and investment income contributions are some common means of gift planning.

UWM Gives to UWMIf you are a current member of the UWM faculty or staff, you will be invited each spring to consider giving back to the University via this internal annual campaign. By making a financial gift via the UWM Gives to UWM campaign, faculty and staff can directly impact the areas of the College of Nursing most important to them. The effect of each and every gift is significant. Donations strengthen academic programs and enhance the lives of the students who receive a degree from the College.

Senior Class Gift

Each semester, the graduating CON Senior Class makes a combined gift back to the College as a way of commemorating their time at UWM and celebrating the successful completion of their degrees. Parents and other family and friends, as well as employers of our graduating students, are welcome to join them with honorary donations.
