Preparation and Prerequisites

Bachelor's prepared nurses who are interested in pursuing graduate study are encouraged to explore the many professional opportunities and roles in nursing in order to then find the program which best fits their desired role. It is essential that applicants be able to share their understanding of the role and program they have chosen to pursue as well as how this best fits their career objectives.

Students are admitted at all experience levels and with a wide array of professional experiences. Students admitted into the FNP program must have a minimum of one year of experience by the start of the FNP Practicum sequence.

Students must complete an approved upper level statistics course prior to beginning the MN programs. Statistics courses must be completed within 5 years of beginning the MN program.
