RN to MN Program

If you are an RN, then this program offers you a time and cost effective way to earn your baccalaureate and master's degrees. You can progress through this program on a full or part time basis.

First you must complete requirements to earn your BS in Nursing as part of the RN-MN program. During the final portion of the BS program, you will complete 12 credits of graduate core courses which are counted towards your undergraduate nursing electives as well as toward meeting the MS core course requirements.

During the final semester of the BS program students apply for admission to the MS - Family Nurse Practitioner or MS - Clinical Nurse Specialist program. To be considered for admission to the MS programs, you must apply to the UWM Graduate School and meet all their admissions requirements. You must also have completed the 12 credits of graduate core courses with a grade of B or better.
