Janet Bitzan, PhD, RN
Emeritus Clinical Professor
Cunningham Hall 681
Born and bred in Milwaukee, I’m a home grown product of the city and the College of Nursing. I love the diversity of students and faculty and the at-home feeling of our campus. I went into nursing because I enjoyed the company of older adults and wanted the knowledge and skills to care for them in a professional and competent manner.
I began teaching at UWM and did so for thirty years. My primary focus was on teaching and my specialties are gerontology and parish nursing.
