Janet Bitzan, PhD, RN

Emeritus Clinical Associate Professor
Cunningham Hall 681

Born and bred in Milwaukee, I’m a home grown product of the city and the College of Nursing. I love the diversity of students and faculty and the at-home feeling of our campus. I went into nursing because I enjoyed the company of older adults and wanted the knowledge and skills to care for them in a professional and competent manner. After supervising a 360-bed nursing home for ten years, I began teaching at UWM and have done so now for over twenty years. My primary focus is on teaching and my specialty is the care of older adults.
