Current Research

Exploring Feasibility of Developing a Nursing Practice and Research Information Management System: A Pilot Study
A well-functioning Health Information System (HIS) is indispensable to nurses and other care providers. However, HISs are rarely designed and built to capture clinical nursing data to support evidence-based practice, research, or quality improvement efforts. As a potential solution, this pilot study proposes to develop a prototype Nursing Practice and Research Information Management System (NPRIMS) to capture nursing data and measure performance of nursing care provided and patient outcomes.
