Dr. Kennedy has expertise in emergency nursing practice, nursing and healthcare administration, leadership and management, and clinical simulation in nursing education
Her special interests are in patient safety, nursing workplace environments, and nursing education.
Dr. Kennedy’s current teaching focus includes the integration of patient safety and quality in nursing education, development of clinical judgment, and clinical simulation.
Since 2006, she has been a scholar through Wisconsin Technology Enhanced Collaborative Nursing Education (WI-TECNE) via a HRSA grant.
