UWM College of Nursing students value membership in student organizations as it is often an important factor in the success and enjoyment of the college experience.
Participation in student organizations offers you opportunities for fellowship, leadership, recreation, and meaningful interaction with faculty, staff, and students. As doctoral students, we know you need to have collegial support systems to sustain us in our academic progress. The Doctoral Student Nurse Organization (DNSO) organizes monthly workshops and luncheons to assist you in building those connections with your peers while learning more about the world of academia. In the past, we have sponsored events on writing for publication, understanding doctoral progression markers, and narrowing research topics.
