The following is a example of how your four years of courses might look assuming you are a full-time student and you are accepted into the Nursing Major immediately after you complete your pre-nursing course work.

Pre-nursing courses are shown in teh first four semesters of the curriculum (Level 1 and 2). Courses in the major begin at level three. Admission to the nursing major is competitive.
* Placement in English and Math courses are based on ACT scores. Student's placement in chemistry in based on their mathematics placement. Degree credit is not granted for remedial/academic skills courses and English 100. UW-Milwaukee's math proficiency requirement is based on the completion of College Alegbra/UWP Math 111 with a C or better or higher math placement.
** 6 credits are required in the humanities and 3 credits in the arts. If the history course is approved for GER humanities credits, then only 3 more credits in the humanities are needed to meet the GER humanities distribution requirement.
A foreign language requirement went into effect September 1999 for new freshmen and transfer students who were freshman at another accredited school in Fall 1999 or later and then transferd to UWM. This is a graduation requirement. See the GER section of the UWM Schedule of Classes for Details.
