The UWM College of Nursing accepts eligible transfer students into the nursing program. You will need to complete all requirements of the program just as students who began here as freshmen. Since requirements for all nursing programs are different, it is essential for you to meet with your Advisor, Donna Wier to determine where you stand in our program.
Please fax un-official transcripts from each school you have attended since high school to the College of Nursing at 414-229-5554, Attention Donna Wier. Then you can call the Student Affairs Office at 414-229-5047 to schedule an appointment to see her in person or make a telephone advising appointment. Nursing courses are evaluated for transfer on a case by case basis
If you have begun the clinical part of your nursing degree at another college or university, you will need to ask the Dean of that college or university to send us a positive recommendation for you in order for you to be eligible to apply to our program.
Reference Form - Clinical Experience in Another College 
Application deadlines are February 1 for the Fall Semester
and December 1 for the Spring Semester. However, if you want to live in campus housing to have the best chance of securing a spot you should apply to UWM by October for Fall and by August for Spring.
