Thank you for your interest in transferring to UW-Milwaukee.
Since requirements for all nursing programs vary, your first step to transferring to UW-Milwaukee is to meet with Advisor, Deatra Holloway. We are all here to assist you in your journey of becoming part of the College of Nursing at UW-Millwaukee. Ms. Holloway will help you determine where you stand in our program, evaluate your courses to transfer, and create a plan of action to complete our program.
Begin scheduling an appointment with Ms. Holloway by faxing un-official transcripts from each school you have attended, including high school and all college/universities attended to: College of Nursing at 414-229-5554, Attention Deatra Holloway. After you have faxed your transcripts, please call our Student Affairs Office at 414-229-5047 to schedule an appointment with Ms. Holloway.
When should I apply to the professional nursing major?
Before
applying to the professional nursing major, please consult with the
nursing transfer advisor, Deatra Holloway, to confirm you are eligible to
apply. A credit evaluation needs to be complete to verify how your
classes may transfer into our nursing program which would determine when
you'd be able to apply to the professional nursing major. Please
follow the instructions under "First Steps" to schedule your appointment
with Deatra.
What if I have started my clinical at my current college or university?
If you have begun the clinical portion of your nursing degree at another college or university, you will need to submit a positive recommendation from the Dean of that college or university in order to be considered eligible to apply to the program. Please download the reference form below.
What are the program application deadlines?
Application deadline for fall is February 1 and spring is December 1.
Please note, if you are interested in campus living, you are suggested to apply to UW-Milwaukee four months earlier than above dates.
