Pre-Nursing Course Work
To prepare for admission to the major, pre-nursing students need to complete *course requirements with a "C" or better, meet 2.75 minimum GPA as calculated on pertinent courses and a minimum 2.50 science GPA. Faculty also evaluate students on their written essay, work, volunteer, leadership and other experiences. Admission to the major is competitive.

- Two semesters of Anatomy & Physiology with labs (BioSci202&203)8 crs
- Two semesters of Chemistry with labs - General Chemistry and Biochemistry (Chemistry 101 & 103) 8 crs
- Microbiology with lab (BioSci 101) 4 crs
- Clinical Nutrition (C L Sci332) 2 crs
- Physics 110 3 crs
- English Composition II (English 102) 3 crs
- Sociology 3 crs
- Introduction to Psychology 101 3 crs
- Human Growth and Development/Lifespan (Nursing 203) 4 crs
- Social Science Elective 3 crs
- Cultural Diversity in Health Care (Nursing 101) 3 crs
- Perspectives in Healthcare Systems (Nursing 102) 2 crs
- Nursing Research (Nursing 300) 2 crs
- Total of 48 credits

Competencies in math and English are based on placement scores or successful completion of appropriate courses.
