Agenda

History

In September 2001, the Black and Gold Commission was charged with ensuring that the quality of the UWM student experience improves as UWM grows in stature as a premier urban research university. After much research and effort on behalf of the Black and Gold Commission, they submitted a final report in May, 2002.

One of the recommendations that the Commission made to the Chancellor was that the each School/College on campus create their own Black and Gold Committee to focus on student success within their school/college. As a result, the College of Nursing Black and Gold Committee was established.

College of Nursing Black and Gold Guiding Principles Statement:

Through a collaboration of students, faculty, and staff the CON's Black and Gold Committee strives to:

  • Promote and maintain an open environment for the exchange of information between students, faculty, and staff.
  • Improve student satisfaction and success through the identification and reduction of stressors within the boundaries of the CON's Black and Gold committee.
  • Enhance the respect for a diverse population within the CON.
